International Summer School for Archivists
The European Association for Banking and Financial History e.V. organizes an International Summer School for Archivists on a regular basis. Courses are specifically designed for archivists and record managers and aim to encourage discussion on a wide range of issues interesting for archivists of banks and financial institutions.
The Summer School is a one week intensive programme. This year's focus "Electronic Records Management" included, among others, the following sessions:
- What are the needs of researchers - evolution from classical research tools to electronic records
- The development of electronic record cataloguing at the National Bank of Greece
- Introduction: What kind of historical data do banking information systems produce?
- What are banking information systems?
- Storage and data bases: What is preserved and what is deleted?
- Long-term electronic preservation
Official Certificate of Attendance
After successfully completing the Summer School, participants receive a “Certificate of Attendance signed by .”
Registration and Fees
Registration fees may vary depending on the content and length of the Summer School. Fees for this year's Summer School covered the course itself, course material, lunches, refreshments and participation in the social events.

Following the tremendous success of the Summer School, the EABH is planning to rorganize similar Summer Schools in different European locations every two years.
